The Old Ball Coach

This will be short and to the point.  I do hope South Carloina suffers a loss this weekend, but I can't go with out saying that Coach Spurrier is a genius.  I draw this conclusion from one statement, when refering to this weekends game he said we will see which one of us looks smarter and which one of us will look like a dummy.  Then he went on to say, sometimes if you win you can still be a dummy, which we saw this past weekend.   Who would that be? Hmmm, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's about Les.  So in closing, good luck to the Game Cocks, but in the end I hope the Tide Will Roll....thanks for the entertainment coach.

Please go away Coach Callaway

UAB played a great game(aside from the kicking) against Tennessee.  The Blazers could have one that game had they been a bit more agressive, but not Neil Callaway, he likes to play conservative like he has the dominate team.  When his kicker misses that many field goals, you would think he would get pissed.  Nick Saban would have been all over the kicker, but then again, Callaway is not Nick Saban.  So last night while watching the UCF game is see that UAB is down by three td's, he decides to keep running the ball and plays like he has the lead.  I don't think improving by 1 win a season is going to cut it when those wins still lead to an under .500 record every year.  You may ask, why does anybody care about UAB, well a lot of people don't, but I do, and I want to see them at least be a respectable team.  I'm not asking them to be like my Crimson Tide...not going to happen, but don't look foolish, it's not fair to the students or the athletes.  The basketball team is the bread and butter of that schools athletic dept, take a note from them.  I would be fine with bringing back Watson Brown.
